FAQ

Please bring your completed health history and consent form if you have down loaded and filled these out as it will save time during the appointment. Arrive hydrated. It is recommended no alcohol consumption within last 12 hours. Wear comfortable loose clothing so we may access knees down, torso/back and arms. You may wish to bring a hair clip.

I ask that you communicate that to me as soon as you realize the time frame of the appointment does not work for you. This allows me an opportunity to reschedule others on the wait list.

Cash, check. Currently setting up electronic payment options to pay on line.

At this time, no. However, I am actively seeking network access to the VA and Anthem systems. My out of pocket fees are set to be within fair market value for services provided.

The initial visit includes a health history and assessment to include an initial treatment. Allow 1.5 - 2 hrs. Follow-up and Wellness visits are generally one hour.

Acupuncture is helpful to manage symptoms in a wide variety of conditions, including, but not limited to:

Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Insomnia, Hot flashes, Night Sweats, Heart Palpitations, Migraines, Allergies, TMJ, Tinnitus, Vertigo, High Blood Pressure, Digestive Problems; Nausea, IBS, Crohn's, Gastric Reflux. Men and Women's sexual health, E.D., P.E., GYN, Fertility issues.

Autoimmune conditions: Lupus, Lyme, Lupus, Thyroid, Rheumatoid Arthritis.

ALL Types of pain. Sciatica, Low Back Pain, Neck Pain, Knee Pain, Shoulder, Frozen Shoulder, Muscle Sprains/Strains, Joint stiffness, Arthritis, Plantar Fasciitis, Carpal Tunnel, Golfer's Elbow, Tennis Elbow, Post Operative Recovery, Neuropathies.

A treatment plan will be developed at your initial appointment. Much like physical therapy appointments, the frequency and duration will depend on the symptoms/conditions that are being treated. Generally speaking, the more chronic the condition the longer the recommended treatment plan. Acute conditions generally resolve more quickly, perhaps in one or 3 sessions.

Acupuncture improves blood flow and reduces inflammation that can cause pain, stiffness or discomfort. The treatment is to "turn off" the flight or fight" mode and allow the "rest and recovery" mode to de-stress and gather the resources to heal the body.
